My name is Will M and I'm in these Massage Therapy course at Medix. I took this course because I've always wanted to help people in a positive manner. I looked at Medix and they provided multiple opportunities and ways for me to accomplish that and I felt that the massage therapy course was the best fit for me. Before I came to Medix I was working full time as a customer service representative. I chose Medix because of the numerous testimonials that I've heard both from people who have attended and testimonials I've read online.

The testimonials were speaking to the friendliness of not just the teachers but the staff here as well and students. Our course is very small, at least my class anyway, so it's as close to one to one contact with a teacher as you can get. Not to mention that Medix specializes in employment as soon as possible after graduation, that was a big point for me, I'd like to get into the workforce as soon as possible.

My favorite memory of Medix, there's many of them that I could choose, we had taken a trip up to the Blue Mountain Spa in order to experience what it's going to be like in the field. We've done outreaches to Guelph University to work on their athletes. But mostly, every day where we learn something new has to be one of the greatest memories here. The campus is very easy to navigate and it is also very convenient, we have a convenience store, a pizza place and it's very conveniently placed both for myself and other people to reach. Multiple bus lines pass by it. In five years I could be working in a cruise ship, a spa, a medical setting, I could be doing personal work, I could be doing mobile massage therapy.

They do include a business course to specify that there's not just one option available to us as Massage Therapists. The thing I like most about my instructors is that it's less of a student teacher relationship and more of a colleague relationship, because our professors realize that we are going to be in the same field that they are, so building a positive relationship does begin in the classroom. My family feels great about me attending Medix they think it is a great career choice for me and they've been supportive one hundred percent.

If I knew somebody was undecided about coming to Medix I would recommend that they drop by any Medix campus. I know the staff here showed me the multiple courses that they had to offer, they gave me a tour of the campus, which I found very helpful.

I'm in Dental Assistant Program. I chose Medix because I heard very great things about it. It's a great campus and also it gives you the opportunity to have a shorter period of time schooling which is only one year, and then you can actually have a diploma and go in first for your career.
What I like about the campus is that everybody's very friendly, teamwork. What I like best about my instructor is that they are very well trained and they train us to our absolute best. They help us with everything, when we have questions, they are right there helping us and they are very hands on, which is the most important in our Dental Assistant field.

In five years I see myself having a great job as a level two dental assistant and building up a very bright career. I enjoy most about the campus that everybody works together, its teamwork, and they help us and guide us through everything we do.

I have found it very easy making friends on campus because everybody's extremely friendly, and everybody's working together which is the most important thing in this field. Dental Assistant is my favourite from all the programs only because it suits my needs, it works with my schedule and also my kids schedule as well and it's also a shorter program compared to the other colleges. Career Services, they helped me to write a proper resume head and make a cover letter, and also business letters as well.

My family is very supportive about attending Medix, my friends, my kids are extremely proud. I'm going to do this and I'm going to get a hundred percent! I would suggest for somebody who is undecided to come to Medix, to come for a tour, and leave your mind open, there are so many other fields that they can help in your future.

My name is Alberto R and I'm in the Dental Assistant Program here at Medix College.

Before I came to Medix I was working two part time jobs. It was tough because I was in the kitchen and the other one was a moving company and that's physical work, you're staying late, and waking up early all the time and it starts to just grind at you.

To be honest that's when I start deciding that I want to go back to school and started looking into a different path, an education, and Medix was there. At first I was looking at bunch of different programs, I didn't know what I was going to do, and then I don't know it just kind of came at me when I read the description for the Dental Assistant Program that that would be something I might be interested in and be a good foot on the door to maybe add on to and progress.

Reasons why I chose Medix College was because it's a great location right downtown, it's easy to get to whether you're taking the bus or if you drive there's actually free parking which is a huge benefit for a lot of people. Number two is the teachers, the teachers they really take the time, they dedicate themselves to the students. The classrooms are not that large in numbers, so you know after class it's easy to approach a teacher and say hey I need help and they really do a good job of explaining and reviewing the lesson. In five years I'm hopefully done university and perhaps having my own dental practice for myself.

Something I really enjoy about the Dental Assistant Program is the practical aspect of it. It's a lot of fun you know being in there, seeing the facility, how it spread out all the different chairs, all the different little things that come together, and it makes it feel like a dental office, it's a lot of fun.

What I've enjoyed learning the most about the Dental Assistant Program is all the steps that it actually takes for you to have good dental hygiene, now whether that is brushing or actually just what you eat, those are a million little things in between that I never even took into account, and knowing it now I feel like I want everyone to know it.

So hopefully you can find a program that will make you want to encourage everyone around you to change a little bit of their lifestyle for the better. I have a lot of family support when coming to Medix, they really think that it's a good step for me. Obviously education is number one, no matter what, whether it's that you want to make more money or that you want to actually educate yourself and learn more about a certain aspect of your own life.

I would say that everyone's very supportive. If you are undecided about coming to Medix really take a look at what you want your life to look like in a couple of years, these programs are short, you know you have a diploma after, and you can really do something with that, actually if you didn't have one prior to it. So try to go for that.

I chose Medix because I have done a lot of research on the other schools and I got good feedback from my friends and colleagues. What I like about my instructors, they are so friendly and they help you in each and every aspect.

I was suspecting like a sixty or seventy percent average but I am getting ninety two percent plus! The instructors are so focussed and knowledgeable that they can solve any of your issues. After twenty years I am back to school and I was worried a lot, but after coming to Medix, my confidence level has increased.

What I like about the campus is the atmosphere and I found it easy to make friends on campus because everyone is so friendly, we all have the same emotions and feelings. My long term goal is that I want to do my R.P.N. after one or two years and the P.S.W. course will definitely help me.

My family support me attending Medix because my wife is an R.P.N. and she knows the importance of doing P.S.W. and she motivates me a lot. My son and I have a competition while doing homework and it goes really smooth. Career services helped me make my resume, which was outdated.

When I met with her she explained to me, step by step, the importance of that and a she helped me in mock interviews, helped me to do the right thing and that increased my confidence level. The most important thing I learned at Medix was the importance of believing in yourself, self-confidence, and Medix has given me all this. Thank you so much.

I chose Medix because I wanted to be part of the health care team and doing P.S.W. has always been a dream of mine. What I like best about my instructors is that they're very friendly, very easy to work with and they always answer my questions.

What I like most about the campus is that there's friendly staff, I can always get a hold of someone, and my classmates are very friendly and easy to work with. I see a lot of opportunities to have a full time P.S.W career. I found it easy to make friends on campus because I really enjoy different people, learning different cultures and it's been a very good experience, I really enjoyed it.

My kids are thrilled that I'm attending Medix because they really look up to me and think that mom is doing something really fantastic. They are still in school, and that mom's taking this, it's just really motivating for them. I was a stay at home mom and now that my kids are all in school, I really was looking for something for myself to do, because I really like to stay busy and I wanted to be part of the health care team

So this gave me a quick entrance into the program and it didn't seem long and daunting and I can always upgrade later on, so I jumped at it, I was thrilled. I found Career Services to be very helpful, and I think that's the crucial part of the learning experience here. Because they didn't just give me the knowledge but actually the experience to go out and make your résumé, how to do the interviews, and I really really appreciate that.

I highly recommend it. When I came in and just realised this could be my dream, that was just so exciting it was like really, it's actually going to come true! I am so very very happy.

I'm Nathan and I'm studying the C.S.W. program at Medix College. My wife actually went there, she's actually graduating today from the Lab Tech course and she said it was a great place to go to school, so that's why I'm going.

One of my favorite memory of Medix would be would be just every day going to class with my fellow classmates, my teacher, she's fantastic. There's a lot of people of there in our course that we help, or that we're going to be helping, it's a very humbling experience to know that they're out there.

The thing I enjoyed most about the campus was that it was easily accessible and easy to get to and it's only got a twenty minute drive for me every day. I see myself in five years being a Community Service Worker or a Social Service Worker in the drug and alcohol field, that I'd like to go into, specializing in that.

I have found it easy make friends on campus, everybody that's in my class I'm pretty friendly with right now so I'm really enjoying that. The thing I like best about my instructors is that they're easy to talk to, first and foremost. Easy to talk to, they are open to answer any questions I have.

My family feels great about me attending Medix, they're very happy, their very proud of me I didn't have a lot of success in high school so this is actually a great step up for me. I would probably tell somebody it's thinking about attending Medix to go, it's a very easy place to go to school.

I know school is very daunting for a lot of people, a lot of people didn't do very well when they were in high school but coming from somebody with that experience, it's really easy to go there, the instructors are very helpful, very caring and they just wont let you fail.

I chose Medix because I love the setting, I like the professionalism that they present, this is the place for me. The classroom is a very neat, all the equipment they have is very professional.

There are no days that you come to class and you feel like you have to be here, I feel that I want to be here. My instructor is amazing; she is very knowledgeable, very good at her job. Any time we have any issues or questions she's always there and able to give us all the answers that we need and always there to help.

Five years from now I may go further in this field. I'm hoping that maybe I can either bridge into R.N. or perhaps become a P.S.W. trainer. Everyone here is so friendly; the setting is always nice and clean. The instructors are really good, all our classmates are wonderful, and we're all friends and family.

We come here knowing that we want to learn. We all support each other; we're there for each other. If you have any issues, doing your assignments or homework, everybody is there for each other to help. The benefits of Career Services for me, was walking me through the process of how to look for a job, how to search for the job I wanted and what I needed to know, what I should be learning before I go into the job interview.

What I have enjoyed learning the most here would be anatomy, which was one of the most challenging things, I realized that I actually can understand and that I can learn that. My family, for those people who know, are very happy that I chose Medix and that I'm here for this program.

They just know I will be good at what I do. I went through using P.S.W. services myself; I used to be a caregiver for my family for three months. It's amazing to know that right now it's in high demand, that also gives you better feeling knowing once you graduate you will have a job, and one of those jobs will be something that, you don't even have to ask yourself if you make a difference in people's lives, because you know that it does, and you did.
